On February 8, 2010, the El Reno City Council removed the Non-City Council Trustees of the El Reno Recreational Authority for the good of the service, leaving the current City Council appointed board members and Trustees in place; and thereafter the vacancies created on the El Reno Recreational Board and El Reno Recreational Authority were filled by the appointment of the remaining City Council members, and the El Reno Recreational Authority recognizes the dedication and knowledge of the citizens of El Reno who are interested in the Recreational Authority and Crimson Creek Golf Course and desires to have their input regarding the ongoing operation of the El Reno Recreational Authority and Crimson Creek Golf Course. 

The Recreational Authority created an advisory board to be known as the El Reno Recreational Authority Advisory Board. There shall be a total of five members of this Advisory Board who shall be appointed by the El Reno Recreational Authority. All Board Members shall be required to reside in the City of El Reno or within the 73036 Zip Code boundaries as established by the United States Postal Service. The first five Board Members appointed by the El Reno Recreational Authority shall serve staggered terms of 1, 2, and 3 years as determined by the El Reno Recreational Authority as follows: 1 one-year term, 2 two-year terms, and 2 three-year terms. Thereafter, each such appointed Board Member shall be appointed in July to serve for a term of three years. No Board Members may serve for more than six years without taking a year’s hiatus. Upon the occurrence of a vacancy in the office of any such Board Member, a successor shall be appointed by the El Reno Recreational Authority and such Recreational Authority may remove any Advisory Board Member with or without cause in their sole and absolute discretion at any time and thereupon replace any Advisory Board Member so removed with another Advisory Board Member to fill the unexpired term of the Advisory Board Member so removed. Advisory Board Members may be reappointed by the Recreational Authority and all shall serve until his or her successor is duly appointed to serve for a remainder of an unexpired term.
